Özyeğin University School of Languages Director Nergis Uyan Attends AISLi DoS Days 2023 "Making Connections; Parallel Journeys” As the First Speaker Ever Invited from Türkiye

Nergis Uyan, the Director of School of Languages at Özyeğin University, marked a significant achievement as the first-ever Turkish speaker invited to AISLi DoS Days 2023. The exclusive event brought together directors of international language schools in Verona, Italy under the theme of "Making Connections; Parallel Journeys”.

AISLi (Associazione Italiana Scuole di Lingue - Italian Association of Language Schools) promotes excellence in teaching and learning in foreign language schools. AISLi grants accreditation to foreign language institutions in Italy based on a quality charter that confirms member institutions’ compliance with the Students' Charter and the Code of Professional Conduct. AISLi is an esteemed member of EAQUALS and maintains strong collaborations with the University of Cambridge ESOL and the British Council.

During the event which took place on September 8 and 9, 2023, Nergis Uyan, the Director of the School of Languages at Özyeğin University, delivered two presentations titled "Effective Schools" and “Leadership is Important”. In addition, Ms. Uyan also moderated a workshop as part of the program.
